This class is a wonderful introduction to the world of acting and role playing. The children will explore storytelling through creative play, improvisation and movement exercises. The class is designed to inspire children to get to know the different aspects of their unique and individual personalities and those in the world around them. The class will require a small amount of memorization.
CREATORS - GRADES 1, 2 & 3 (10 WEEKS)

The Creators class is a must for any young performer looking for an after school outlet for creative expression. Through improvised games, structured movement exercises and storytelling this class explores all areas of performance and beginning playwriting. The focus of the class is to encourage students to utilize different aspects of their unique personalities to create characters and stories. This class will culminate in a final performance for parents and friends.
PERFORMANCE & PLAYWRITING - GRADES 4, 5 & 6 (10 WEEKS)

Atlantic’s Performance and Playwriting class is a wonderful opportunity for after-school fun. This class will include fundamental acting exercises and an introduction to playwriting. The class will bring together the elements of storytelling and performance with a final performance written, directed by and starring this young group. Students will be responsible for a small amount of memorization and should come to class prepared to create and have fun.
YOUNG ACTORS - GRADES 7 & 8 (10 WEEKS)
Wednesdays (4:15-6pm) March 3 thru May 19 (no class 3/24 or 3/31) - STILL ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR THIS CLASS Tuition: $375
This class is a wonderful introduction to acting for youngsters who really want to “give it a try!” The course will cover the basics of the Practical Aesthetics Acting Technique, created by David Mamet and William H. Macy, along with improvised games and structured movement exercises. The students will begin exploring the world of acting through storytelling and short scenes using the Practical Aesthetics technique. The class will require memorization.
ACTING FOR TEENS - GRADES 9-12 (10 WEEKS)
Saturdays (2:00-5:00pm)
January 23 - March 27
Tuition: $425
This class offers an introduction to Practical Aesthetics, the acting technique created by David Mamet and William H. Macy and taught at the Atlantic Acting School. The students will begin their first scene study class using the Atlantic Script Analysis process. In addition students will explore different characters through improvisation and theater games. This class will require memorization and rehearsal.
SATURDAY YOUTH PROGRAM – Ages 6 to 10 (8 WEEKS)
Saturdays (10:00am-12:30pm)
class will begin in January dates TBD
Tuition: $400
This weekend morning workshop combines theater games, improv, costume play and character creation with music and theater related art projects. Students form their own "theater company" for the semester, write a short play with their director, learn a song and are introduced to different styles of theater through engaging games.

4 WEEK SUMMER TEEN ENSEMBLE (AGES 14 TO 18)
The Atlantic Acting School is pleased to offer a summer day program for teen actors who are interested in learning the Atlantic Technique. This program will integrate acting classes with rigorous physical training in Voice, Speech and Movement and culminate in a final performance in one of Atlantic’s Studios. Includes Shakespeare, Monologue and On-Camera Workshops, and a Guest Class.
