CAKE PRODUCTIONS

Founded in 2009 by Francesca Day Larson and Marta Kuersten, Cake Productions raised the curtain on its inaugural show, Modern Dance for Beginners by Sarah Phelps (directed by Atlantic faculty member Alison Beatty) at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre. Following this debut endeavor, the company doubled in size to include Brooke Berry and Sarah Brill. The quartet then went on to produce Psych by Evan Smith and Speaking in Tongues by Andrew Bovell on the Fourth Arts Block in the East Village, as well as Swimming in the Shallows by Adam Bock at The West 52nd Street Theatre. In the fall of 2011, the company expanded to include four additional members. Cake’s efforts in 2012 included a New York premiere, In the Company of Jane Doe by Tiffany Antone (directed by Atlantic faculty member Paul Urcioli) at New York Theatre Workshop’s 4th Street Theatre in May and a staged reading of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play by Joe Landry around the holidays.

STORYTIME HOUR WITH ERICA & JOLENTA

Storytime Hour is a podcast created by Atlantic Alums Jolenta Greenberg and Erica Smith.
Storytime Hour with Erica & Jolenta is a grassroots storytelling podcast recorded inside a closet in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The podcast has already reached no. 5 in the iTunes store’s Performing Arts category, and has been recently featured in both the ‘What’s Hot’ and ‘New and Noteworthy’ sections on iTunes. Storytime Hour features stories of all shapes and sizes; ranging from personal essays, rhyming poems, interviews, documentaries and more. We don’t care if the stories are true, made up, simple, or operatic. We don’t care if they’re told through gritted teeth, muffled tears or with the stony control of a public radio announcer. It’s a variety show for your ears!
Includes Atlantic Alumni Contributors
Colby Day, John Early, Janna Emig, Sharone Halevy, Jenna Krasowski, Brad Mielke, Andy Schneeflock, Griffin Sherbert, Jordan Douglas Smith, and Eric Williams.

PIPELINE makes theater of the imagination. Our company thrives on adventure and believes no story is worth telling without a little risk. We love our villains as much as our heroes, especially in those troubling moments when we can’t quite tell them apart. Above all, we aim to leave you with stories that stick somewhere in your heart, your brain, or your guts.
The company is comprised of over twenty emerging actors, directors, writers, and designers. A one-time Company Class project at the Atlantic Acting School, Pipeline has now established a strong foothold in the New York theater community with three seasons of mainstage productions, a fourth underway, and a thriving Second Stage program of readings, workshops and even art exhibitions.
